So far, we have converted the old headquarters for the Baptist Children's Homes into a classroom building with 8 classrooms, an admissions office, a copy room, a kitchen, and a cafeteria. This building is a single story building from the early 80's with just under 10,000 sq ft.
Cooke Hall, the main building on the property from the early 50's, has been remodeled on the first floor and is rented to Revolution Church for primary use on Sunday and secondary use to Highlands Latin School the rest of the week.
A residence on the property is leased to the Peterson family. Luke Peterson is a service tech at Vittitow Refrigeration (our family business) and a seminary student. Luke lives in the house with his wife and three children in exchange for maintaining mechanicals on the property. Luke watches over the property and helps us keep the maintenance costs down.
There are 5 cottages on the property. Our current plans are to remodel these into small classroom and extra curricular buildings. We expect to convert 4 cottages into classrooms and one into a mini-gym and athletic building.
Short Term Goals
- Remodel Cottages into Additional Classrooms
- Build A Gymnasium
- Add Parking/Improve Roads
Long Term Goals
- Traffic Light at Entrance
- Athletic Field
- Additional Classroom Building
- Sanctuary
